Mildred J. Coleman, age 82 of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Crossview Care Center in Pineview.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 17th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Jay Moore and Reverend Jim Wiley will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mrs. Coleman was born on September 29, 1929 in Rochelle.She was daughter of the late Theodore Jones and Essie McDuffie Jones.She was a retired Social Worker from Pineview Health Care.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle, the Adult Golden Voices Choir, the Esther Group and the Ruth Sunday School Class.She was a former member of the Dogwood Garden Club and was Valedictorain of her graduating class.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Buddy" Coleman and a brother-James D. Jones. Survivors include:sons-Darrell (Dianne) Coleman of Hawkinsville and Merle Coleman of Rochelle, daughters-Sharon Childers of Cordele and Karen (James) Bailey of Perry, sisters-Lavonia Coleman of Marietta, Shirley McClain of Adel, Carolyn McDevett of Atlanta, Wyvonnee Ventlind of Marietta and Gwen Avery of Lithia Springs.6-grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel from 2-3 PM before the service. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
