Michael W. Chaney, age 51 of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 19th in the First Baptist Church of Rochelle with Rev. Jim Wiley officiating. Mr. Chaney was born on February 11, 1962 in Hagerstown, MD.He was son of the late Harry Chaney, Sr. and Christina Marie Staley Chaney.He had lived in Rochelle for almost 4 years moving from Hagerstown, MD.He attended the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.He was an electrician and an employee of HEAC Central Heat and Air.He was preceded in death by 4-brothers and 1-sister. Survivors include:wife-Marian P. Johnson Chaney of Rochelle, son-Brendon Michael Chaney of Rochelle, daughters-Christina Lynn Chaney and Thelma Louise Chaney both of Rochelle and Kathleen Patricia Breckbille of Hagerstown, MD, step-sons-Leo Denton Johnson of Hagerstown, MD, Robert James Johnson of Plantation, Florida, Scott Richard Johnson of Rochelle and James Scott Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC, brothers-Charles Clayton Chaney of Hagerstown, MD and Frank Elmer Chaney of Rochelle, sisters-Linda Brill of Smithburg, MD, Mary Richmond of Inwood, West Virginia and Carol Ann Lucas of Boonesboro, MD, and 4-grandchildren. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
