Metty Warren Whitehead age 68 of 668 Cannonville Rd., Abbeville passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the Cannonville Baptist Church.The Rev. Roy Taylor and Rev. Billy Joe Milling will officiate.Interment will be in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mrs. Whitehead was born on November 29, 1939 in Laurens County.She was daughter of the late Harvey Warren and Essie Mae Diers Warren.She was a homemaker and member of the Cannonville Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Whitehead, a son-Ted Whitehead, a daughter-Jackie Wright, a brother-Henry Annual Warren and 2-sisters-Faye Gay and Christine Warren. Survivors include:daughters-Debra (Lonnie) Williams of Abbeville, Kim (David) Gay of Eden, and Sue (Dale) Garner of Fitzgerald, brothers-Elbert Warren, Albert Warren, Ethridge Warren, and Garland Warren all of Rentz, and Eldridge Warren of Macon, sisters-Letty Stevens, Linda Bates, Mildred Foskey, Audie Lee Herndon and Faustine Evans all of Rentz.7-grandchildren and 6-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Friday in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
