Mattie T. Stephens

Mattie T. Stephens, age 72 of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her residence.Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, June 4th in the King of Kings Christian Church.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 9-10 AM in the church.Brother Jonathon McKinney will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the King of Kings Cemetery. Mrs. Stephens was born on April 30, 1945 in Helena, Ga.She was son of the late William Harvey Taylor and Ruby Peacock Taylor.She was a Caregiver and Homemaker and was a member of the King of Kings Christian Church.She was the widow of Louis Stephens. Survivors include:sons-Louis (Stephanie) Stephens, Jr. of Rochelle, Jeffery Allen (Debbie) Stephens of Rochelle , Richard Hitson of Pitts, David (Penny) Reynolds of Cordele, daughter-Sheila Ann Owens of Rochelle, brothers-Tommy Taylor of Dunellon, Florida, Michael Taylor of Rochelle and Wayne Taylor of Dale City, Virginia, sisters-Katie Pike of Ocilla and Sara Taylor of Fitzgerald, 13-grandchildren and 26-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be:Gerald Stephens, Richard Stephens, Reuben Stephens, Jacob Stephens, David Stephens, Fred Stephens and Michael Stephens. Music will be provided by King of Kings Christian Church.
