Matt W. Estes, Jr.

Matt W. Estes, Jr. age 81 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 13th in the Rochelle Trinity Church. Visitation will be one hour from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the church. Reverend Steve Giglio will officiate. Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery.

Mr. Estes was born on March 14, 1944 in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was son of the late Matt W. Estes and Annie Merle Holt Estes. He was a retired Banker from Rochelle State Bank with 55 years of service. He was a member of Rochelle Trinity Church and the Rochelle Lions Club. He was an avid golfer and graduate of Piedmont University receiving a Batchelor’s Degree.  He served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include: wife-Janice Estes, daughters-Jill Gerig (Matt) and Tiffany Mize (Trent) and grandchildren-Adam, Meghan, Taylor, Ben, and Evan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rochelle Trinity Church, P.O. Box 472 Rochelle, Ga. 31079.
