Mary Ann Nobles

Graveside services for Mary Ann Nobles of Pitts will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the church. Mrs. Nobles passed away Sunday, November 7 in the Cordele Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele. Born in Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Bennett and Ida Jett Bennett. She received her BS and MED from Georgia Southwestern College. She was retired from the Wilcox County School System where she had served as teacher and librarian. She was the wife of the late Autwell Nobles. She is survived by her son, Marvin Nobles of Pitts and daughter, Carolyn Nobles Hunt of Cordele; two grandchildren, Haley Hunt and Brandon Hunt of Atlanta; a sister, Margaret Bennett Sheffield of Pitts; two brothers, Harold Bennett of Pitts and Bob (Patricia Sercer) Bennett of Pitts. Mrs. Nobles was preceded in death by a brother, Norman (Ruth Williford Bennett) Bennett. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle hascharge of arrangements.
