Mary “Mama Shedd” McCall Shedd, age 93 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her residence.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 17th in the Antioch Cemetery.Reverend Johnny Ashe will officiate. Mrs. Shedd was born on March 28, 1926 in Lands Crossing, Irwin County.She was daughter of the late John McCall and Alice Newman McCall.She was a homemaker and member of the Antioch Baptist Church.She was a caregiver for many people in the community and was a loving, caring person to her family and anyone she came in contact with.She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Shedd, a son-Jimmy L. Shedd, a grandson-Justin Montgomery, 4-bothers and 4-sisters. Survivors include:daughter-Janice Ledford (Brown), sister-Myrtle “Pat” McCall Huddleston of Dacula, grandchildren-Eric Shedd, Donovan Shedd, Krishna Roberts, Jennifer Ledford Owens and Jason Ledford, great-grandchildren-Jordan Ledford, Jenna Ledford, Ryan Geerts, Steven Geerts, Ashley Jackson, Joshua Roberts, Allison Brown, Austin Shedd, Abby Shedd and Juniper Shedd and great-great-grandchildren-Bella Geerts and Haven Geerts. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Homestead Hospice of Tifton or Alzheimer’s Foundation. Frazier and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
