Mary H. Keene

Mary H. Keene, age 95 of Pitts, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23rd in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery.Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 PM before the service in Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Royce Freeman and Gary Sutton will officiate. Mrs. Keene was born on October 27, 1919 in Dawson, Ga.She was daughter of the late George Elton Harden and Nancy Jane Fogarty Harden.She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.She was a retired Desk Clerk at the Holiday Inn in Cordele and Retired Clerk from Rochelle Drugs.She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Nelson Keene. Survivors include: sons-Derral (Mildred) Keene of Pitts, Fred (Suzanne) Keene of Abbeville and Perry (Linda) Keene of Pitts, daughters-Betty (Don) Turner of Camilla and Opal Rountree of Vienna, 18-grandchildren, 31-great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Music selections, “One Day At A Time”, “Precious Memories” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” will be sung by Royce and Marcene Freeman. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
