Mary Ellen Roland Mckinney

Mary Ellen Roland McKinney, age 89, of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her residence.She was a retired seamstress, working with her husband many years at the Wilcox Garment Co. in Rochelle, and Kinards Cleaners in Hawkinsville.She was a member of the Liberty Bible Church in Gainesville, Ga., and faithfully attended Double Branch FWB Church in Unadilla, as long as her health permitted. Mrs. McKinney was born August 18, 1931, in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Ezzie C. Roland and Alma Cook Roland.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. McKinney, and her brothers, Quinton, Joe, Edward, and Felton Roland. Survivors include her sons, Billy McKinney (Joy) of Braselton GA, Bobby McKinney (Vicky) of Pitts, and Benny McKinney of Gainesville GA; a daughter, Sharon McKinney of Abbeville; 8 grandchildren, Josh McKinney, Austin McKinney, Allison McKinney Teter, Justin McKinney, Jessie McKinney, Amanda McKinney, Donnie Rountree, and Kara McKinney; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier & Son Funeral Home, with Billy McKinney and Justin McKinney officiating.A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery.
