Mary Williams Dorough

Devoted Christian wife, mother, “Nana” sister, and friend, Mary Williams Dorough stepped into the glories of heaven Thursday night, February 9 from Crisp Regional Hospital. She was a member of Pope City Baptist Church and a retired VP of Planter’s First Bank.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Dorough, her parents R.H. And Florine Williams, her sister Betty Jean Williams and sister-in-law Mary Ann Williams.  She is survived by her daughter April Dorough (Cagney Slusmeyer) of Rochelle, Stepson Mike Dorough (Julie) of Gainesville, GA, stepdaughter Michelle Dorough Hartin (Dave) of Cordele, grandchildren Jasmine Owens, John Michael Dorough (Holly), Holly Ann Ward (Scott), Jim Hartin and great-grandson Wyatt Dorough. She is also survived by her siblings James Williams (Nancy) of Fitzgerald, JoAnne Wright of Panama City, Florida, Robert Earl Williams (Cindy) of Rochelle and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the dedicated professionals of Reflections Hospice and Crisp Regional Hospital for their exceptional and loving care.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place on her 76th birthday, Monday, February 13, 2pm at Frazier & Sons Funeral Home in Rochelle, Ga. Visitation will take place prior from 1-2pm. Pastors Mike Dorough and Joshua Rogers will officiate.
