Mary M. Bruce

Mary M. Bruce, age 87, of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, in the Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.She was a retired seamstress with ITHICA Corp., and a member of the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Bruce was born November 17, 1933, in Abbeville, to the late James Henry Mitchell and Edna Gibbs Mitchell.She was also preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Bruce in 2019, and her son, Barry Bruce in 1992. Survivors include her sons, James W. Bruce of Hinesville, David Bruce of Cochran, and Mike Bruce of Rochelle; her daughter, Vickie Capps (Michael) of Baconton; her brother, Phillip M. Mitchell of Rochelle; her sisters, Marlene Fickes of Stark City, MO, and Ann Wood (Joel) of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Candie Rogers, Jamie Bruce, Melissa Ratley, Clay Capps, and Leigh Fletcher; and seven great-grandchildren. A private graveside service for the family will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
