Marlin "Junior" Gordon

Marlin “Junior” Gordon, age 67 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.Reverend Joel Owens, Reverend Wayne Martin, Mark Hughes and Bill Hughes will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Mr. Gordon was born on June 7, 1946 in Rochelle.He was son of the late Marlin Gordon and Ola Helms Gordon.He was Co-Owner of Nell’s Fried Chicken and a member of Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He serves his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include:wife-Nell Gordon of Rochelle, sons-Bill Hughes of Jacksonville, Florida, Wayne Hughes of Orange Park, Florida and Mark Hughes of Great Lakes, Chicago, daughter-Lynn Hughes Oates of Macon and 6-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, March 1st in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
