Mark Knight

Mark Knight, age 44 of 403 Depot St. North, Abbeville, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in the Stubbs Cemetery in Abbeville.Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate. Mark was born on February 16, 1964 in Pulaski County.He had lived in Wilcox County all his life and was a member of the Kramer Baptist Chruch.He was an avid outdoor sportsman and was employed with the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer with the Turner Pre-Release Center in Sycamore, Ga. Survivors include:father and mother-Richard and Ruth R. Knight of Abbeville, sisters-Lisa (Ronnie) Shawver of Wintston-Salem, N. C. and Dawn (Eddie) Whitehead of Eufaula, Alabama, grandmother-Kathleen Knight of Abbeville, niece and nephews, Allison and Ron Shawver and Jase, Kody, and Saylor Whitehead. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
