Marion Roy Keene

Roy Keene, age 53 of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 26 in the Siloam Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the funeral home to travel to the graveside service.Reverend David Clark and Reverend Jim Wiley will officiate. Mr. Keene was born on July 13, 1956 in Ben Hill County.He was son of the late Clyde Oliver Keene and Gladys Lucille Mullis Keene.He was a former Truck Driver for Wiley Sanders.He received his driver’s training at the Training Alliance Tractor-Trailer Center in McDon ough, Ga. He attended Abbeville and Rochelle Elementary Schools and graduated from Wilcox County High School in Rochelle.He was a former Assistant Manager for Sonic Drive In in Fitzgerald and McDonald’s Inc. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by a sister-Patsy Ann Keene Dunagan. Survivors include:brothers-Donnie “Don” (Linda) Keene of Rochelle and Ricky (Carol) Keene of Abbeville. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday, April 25 in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
