Marie G. Bartholomew

Marie Bartholomew, loving wife, cherished mother, dear daughter and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2012 in Brandon, Florida at the age of 61 after a heart attack a week earlier.She was born in Hawkinsville Georgia to John A. and Mavis Gordon on June 26, 1951 and she has lived in Florida since 1983. Marie loved people and was always willing to lend a helping hand and give of her time and talents.She had the gift of hospitality and loved to entertain.She made her presence known to and felt by others, and lived life to its fullest.She will be dearly missed. Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Brad; her son Jonathan and his wife, Heather and her daughter, Kristina; her mother, Mavis Gordon of Rochelle, Georgia.She was predeceased by her father, John A. Gordon. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, October 20th in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 21, 2012 in the Christian Home Baptist Church.Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Marie's life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at The Crossing Church, 10130 Tuscany Ridge Drive, Tampa, Florida 33619. Frazier and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
