Margaret H. Coody

Margaret H. Coody, age 94, of Vienna, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Shady Pines Estate.She was a homemaker, and a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church.Margaret loved to cook, and draw.She had done drawings for Davison’s in Atlanta, and for the Macon Telegraph, and private drawings for Robins AFB.She attended the University of Georgia, was in the dairy and hog business in Dooly County for many years. Margaret was born December 3, 1926 in Macon, Georgia, to the late John Partridge Hurst and Clyde Irene Moulton Hurst.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus B. Coody, and her son, Steve Coody.Survivors include her daughters, Susan Richardson (Hugh) of Vienna, and Karen Bloodworth (Raymond) of Pineview; her son, Mark Coody (Wendy Cape) of Vienna; her sisters, Sandra Smith of Macon, and Grace Sanders of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Kimberly Klett, Fallon Coody, Jonathan Coody, Elizabeth Coody, and Mandee Muse; and her great-grandchildren, Ben Kubal, McKenna Klett, and Thomas Muse, and her special niece, Jenni Wasmer.Special thanks to her caregivers, Joani, Darlene, Brenda, Kristy, Kyasia, Kayla, Cindy, Tammy, Destiny, Nakita, Amanda, and Blakelyn, and especially to Sherry Bloodworth and staff at Shady Pines. A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 28th, at 2:30 p.m. in the Vienna City Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Mason officiating.
