M. David Brown

M. David Brown, Jr., age 68 of Rochelle (Owensboro Community), passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the Medical Center Navicent Health.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 10th in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Pastor Richard Compton and Pastor Phil West will officiate. Mr. Brown was born on November 25, 1951 in Fitzgerald, Ga.He was son of the late M. D. Brown and Betty Fitzgerald Brown.He and his family are owner/operators of Brown Farms in Owensboro. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle and the Bible Sunday School Class. He was a 1969 graduate of Wilcox County High School, 1971 graduate of ABAC and a 1974 graduate of Auburn University with an Agricultural Engineering Degree.He was a member of the Wilcox County Farm Bureau and the Board of Directors of the Wilcox County State Bank. Survivors include:mother-Betty F. Brown of Rochelle, wife-Jan Finleyson Brown of Rochelle, sons-Madison David (Amanda) Brown III of Rochelle and Luke F. Brown of Rochelle, daughter-Caroline Brown of Rochelle, brothers-Joseph (Alice) Moore of Hillsborough, NC, Royal F. Brown of Rochelle ad Freddy (Glenda) Brown of Rochelle, mother-in-law-Martha Finleyson of Pineview and grandchildren-Madison David “Dason” Brown IV and Amelia Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to The Friends of Morningside Cemetery, P. O. Box 156, Rochelle, Ga. 31079 or to the donor’s choice.
