Lucia Rutland Titshaw of Seville, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 8th in the Seville Baptist Church.Visitation will be from 2-3 PM at the residence.Reverend Jim Faircloth, Reverend Tim Morgan, Reverend Nancylee Cater and Ricky Willingham will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Seville Cemetery. Mrs. Titshaw was daughter of the late Lucien William Slappey and Kate Morris Slappey.She was a homemaker and former Co-Owner and Operator of Rutland’s Store in Seville.She was of the Methodist Faith and was a Charter Member of the Dogwood Garden Club in Rochelle. She was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Felder Rutland and Harold Delane Titshaw and sisters-Annie Claire Barksdale of Americus, Ga. and Katherine Bass Oates of Americus, Ga. Survivors include:daughter-Katherine Claire Rutland of Seville, sons-Harold Delane Titshaw, Jr. and wife, Ann of Rochelle and Richard Loomis Titshaw and wife, Evone of Jackson, Ga., grandsons-Thad Rutland Howell and Will Slappey Howell both of Pitts, granddaughter-Megan Anne Weed of Pitts, niece-Pat Rutland Pittman of Greenville, S. C., nephews-Gordon Barksdale and wife, Sharon of Conyers, Ga., Billy Barksdale and wife, Jane of Americus, Ga., Wendell Rutland and wife, Gayle of Pitts, Ga., Bobby Johnson and wife, Theressa of Southside, Alabama, Jerry Titshaw and wife, Mary Sue of Hampton, Ga. and a number of great nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be:Royal Brown, Mark Newell, Thad Howell, Will Howell, Ricky Willingham, Johnny Coleman, Bobby Johnson and Wendell Rutland.Honorary will be:members of the Dogwood Garden Club, Special Friends, Michael Penney, Casey Rountree, Evan Spires, Jamie Spires and Wesley Rountree. Alex Clements will play “It Is Well With My Soul” and “Victory In Jesus”, the congregation will sing “God Will Take Care of You” and Carol Harden will sing “How Great Thou Art”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
