Lonnie P. Sutton, age 76 of Rochelle, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11th in the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.Reverend Jay Moore and Pastor Phil West will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mrs. Sutton was born on September 6, 1938.She was daughter of the late Alanso Pritchett and Cathleen Bush Pritchett.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle, the Ruth Sunday School Class, the WMU, the Golden Voice Choir and the Alberta Crummey Garden Club.She was a lifetime member of the Garden Clubof Georgia, Inc. and a member of the Georgia Child Abuse Council.She was a graduate of Georgia Southern College in Statesboro.She taught school in Macon and Hawkinsville before she started her career of 34 years with the Department of Family and Childrens’ Services State of Georgia as a Social Services Supervisor.She taught school for 15 years with the Wilcox County School System after retiring. Survivors include:husband-Ralph Sutton of Rochelle, son-Mike (Katrina) Sutton of Rochelle, daughters-Lynn (Jim) Ball of Hawkinsville and Lori (Jeff) Hooks of Valdosta, brother-Phillip Pritchett of Dublin, grandchildren-Matthew S. (Virginia) Ball, Ryan A. Ball, Kelsey L. Ball, Emily M. Sutton, Macey L. Sutton, Nathalie (Robert) Shanahan, Nic Q. Hooks and Jeffrey W. Hooks and a great-grandchild-Addison M. Miller. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, April 10th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
