Libby Guest

Libby Guest, age 77 of Pitts, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her residence.A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, January 30th in the family plot in the Pine City Cemetery with Reverend Bill Kent officiating. Mrs. Guest was born on December 22, 1934 in Eustis, Florida.She was daughter of the late Henry Grady Barnard and Laura Driggers Barnard.She was a retired florist from Parkers Flower Shop in Cordele.She was a member of the Pitts Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 45 years. Survivors include:husband-Jackie Guest of Pitts, son-Mike (Sandi) Guest of Pitts, daughter-Lisa (Donnie) Lane of Vienna, brothers-Henry (Annie) Barnard of Deland, Floirda, Jerry (Wilma Nell) Barnard of Rochelle and Donnie ( Dee Dee) Barnard of Sylvester, sisters-Betty (Sonny) Clark of Deland, Florida, Rose (Joe) peavy of Lilleen, Texas, Shirley Gasperson of Mills River, N. C. and Kitty (Furman) Burrell of Deland, Florida, grandchildren-Jonathan (Jennifer) Guest of Pitts, Katelyn (Brian) Wiggins of Pitts, Niki (Will) Griffin of Cordele and Rik (Kristen) Lane of Macon, 9-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Crisp Regional Hospice, 910 N. First St., Cordele, Ga. 31015. The family may be contacted at the Guest residence at 1690 Pine City Rd., Pitts, Ga. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
