Lawrence Whittington of Rochelle, formerly of Chauncey, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his residence in Rochelle.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 10th in the Sand Grove Cemetery in Milan. Dahl McDermitt will officiate. Mr. Whittington was born on November 10, 1952 in McRae.He was son of the late Frank Lawrence Whittington and Elise McCranie Barnett .He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Eastman, Ga. and was a self-employed carpenter.He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Gilbert Whittington, grandparents-Andrew and Ruby Jump McCranie, daughters-Shelly Jones and Andrea Whittington, sister-Rhonda W. Adams and aunts-Donnie M. Gunn and Ruth M. Lightbourne. Survivors include: son-Jason Sapp and son-in-law-Edd Jones, daughter-Tonya Whittington, brother-David (Lisa) Whittington and step-brother-Carey (Robin) Barnett and a step-sister-Lisa (Jerry) Lewis, grandchildren-Blake (Rachel) Whittington, Sean Stephens, Elaine Whittington, Kyle Jones, Kelsey (Michael) Howell, Cam Sapp, Cade Sapp and Cayson Sapp, great-grandchildren-Zoey Stephens, Sam Whittington and Addi Whittington. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church of Eastman, 5830 6th Avenue, Eastman, Ga. 31023. Frazier and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
