L. V. Parks, age 77 of 7 Bluebird Lane, Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the Dodge County Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16th in the Tabernacle Baptist Church.Reverend RalphGriffin and Reverend Danny Allen will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Parks was born on February 17, 1936 in Owensboro.He was son of the late Early Ray Parks and Cora Ann Pierce Parks.He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and was Owner/Operator of Parks Welding.He is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Parks and a daughter, Ellen Elder. Survivors include:wife-Elise Parks of Rochelle, sons-Jack Parks of Rochelle, Junior Parks of Pitts, Russell Parks of Wellburn, Florida and Rickey Parks of Rochelle, daughters-Alice McBryant of Rochelle and Lisa Justice of Eastman, brother-A. J. Parks of Abbeville, sister-Vera Mann of Abbeville, 16-grandchildren and 14-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, March 15th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
