Kelley McDowell Morgan, age 55 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in the Abbeville United Methodist Church.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the church.Reverend Gary Carter, Reverend Dennis Lanning, and Reverend Will Archibald will officiate.Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan was born on June 27, 1954 in Vienna, Georgia.She was daughter of the late Charles Adamson McDowell and Mary Nell King McDowell.She was a Registered Nurse with the South Central Health District.She was a member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McDowell in 1974. Survivors include:husband-David E. Morgan III of Abbeville, sons-David E. (Christy) Morgan IV of Mayfield, Kentucky and Richard Oliver (Martha) Morgan of Abbeville, daughters-Dorissa M. (Ashley) Weldon of Lizella, Caroline A. Morgan of Abbeville and Corrie Elizabeth Morgan of Abbeville, brother-Charles McDowell, Jr. of Cordele, sister-Charlotte Mau of Nicholson and 5-grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Bridges of Hope, 1326 Antioch Church Rd., Homerville, Ga. 31634, the Kidney Foundation, or the donor’s choice. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
