Katie Spurling

Katie Spurling, age 56 of 487 West Pine St., Abbeville, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 23rd in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Chuck Taylor will officiate.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the chapel before the service.Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery. Ms. Spurling was born on May 12, 1956 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late Dorsey Spurling and Rose Lee Strozier Spurling.She was a homemaker and member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include:son-Jimmy Parks of Abbeville, daughter-Rachel (Andy) Hanse of Lizella, brother-Wayne Spurling of Abbeville, sisters-Jenny Wilcox of Abbeville and Susie Sailor of Abbeville, 2-grandchildren-Carley Rose Burnam and Patsy Abigail Parks and special friend and companion-Carlos Hutto. Music will be provided by Rhonda Henderson and CD’s-“The Light In Your Eyes”, “Is There Life Out There”, “When I Get to Where I’m Going” and “How Can I Help You Say Goodbye”. Pallbearers will be Andrew Keen,Ron Sailor, Eric Bozeman, Jarrell Blackwell and Coty Wilcox. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
