Katherine McCall, age 88 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25th in the Pitts Baptist Church.Reverend David Clark and Reverend Eldridge Bowen will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pitts Cemetery. Mrs. McCall was born on June 1, 1924 in Rebecca.She was daughter of the late Lee Smith and Carrie Yarborough Smith.She was a retired Social Worker from the Wilcox County Training Center State of Georgia.She was a member of the Pitts Baptist Church and was an avid gardener.She was preceded in death by her husband, Milzey G. McCall in 1957 and a son, Ellis McCall in 1986. Survivors include:son-Cedric (Ruby) McCall of Pineview, daughters-Myra (Dale) Gordon of Americus, Margaret Ann Ledford of Rochelle and Dinah (Bobby) Gibbs of Rochelle, sister-Emma Williamson of Macon, 13-grandchildren and 17-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, August 24th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
