Julia Kate Gibbs

Kate H. Gibbs, age 82 of Abbeville passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Pm Monday, February 23, 2009 in the Cannonville Baptist Church.Reverend Rodney Gibbs and Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate.Interment will be in the Cannonville Cemetery. Mrs. Gibbs was born on November 14, 1926 in Wilcox County.She was daughter of Harvey Leroy Helms and Beulah Fussell Helms.She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include:sons-Terry, Randy, Harlan, Jerry, and Michael all of Abbeville, Rodney Gibbs of Vidalia, daughters-Carol Arnett and Glenda Lewis both of Rochelle, brother-Thomas Helms of Fitzgerald, sister-Irene Blalock of Tifton, 18-grandchildren, 26-great-grandchildren, and 2-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM Sunday, February 22 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
