Joyce G. Shipp, age 86 of Spring, Texas, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Spring, Texas.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 9 in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Pineview.Reverend Lawton Sammons will officiate. Mrs. Shipp was born on May 20, 1923 in Pineview, Ga.She was daughter of the late M. H. Gammage and Gladys Quattlebaum Gammage.She was a registered nurse and a graduate of South Georgia College.She was of the Baptist faith.She is preceded in death by her husband, E. M. Shipp. Survivors include:son-Ed Shipp of Woodlands, Texas, daughter-Mary Jo Hertsenberg of Spring, Texas, sister-Marjorie Titshaw of Rochelle, 6-grandchildren and 5-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, March 8 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
