Joseph Ronald Jones

Ronald Jones, age 89 of Rochelle, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2010 in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.Reverend Wayne Martin and Reverend Danny Allen will officiate.Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born on March 14, 1921 in Pineview, Ga.He was son of the late Joe Jones and Rosa Ellafaire Nancy Ann Cranford.He was a farmer and fur-trapper and was a member of the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II.He was preceded in death by a son-Ronald Terry Jones, a daughter-Shelia Jones, 2-grandchildren and 1-great-grandchild. Survivors include:wife-Reyna Jones of Rochelle, sons-Joe William Jones of Middleburg, Florida, Ronald Joseph Jones of Rochelle, Ray Jones of Pineview and Andy Jones of Rochelle, daughters-Marion Cromer of Hawkinsville, Barbara Ann Wright of Gainesville, Florida and Dianne Jones of Rochelle, sisters-Marie Phagan of Cordele and Betty Clark of Decatur, 17-grandchildren, 22-great-grandchildren and 3-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Saturday, May 1 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
