John Edward Statham

Mr. John Edward Statham III age, 69, of Hawkinsville passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in an Augusta Hospital.Funeral services will be held Saturday January 25th in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Freddie Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-3 PM in the church Social Hall. Interment will be in the family plot of the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Statham was born October 24, 1944 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late John E. Statham, Jr. and Opal Dykes Statham. He was an Electrician with Plant Hatch. A member of the H.O.G. Bee Keepers Association, Local I.B.E.W #1316 and USTA Trotters Association.He was a US Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam era. Survivors include: wife: Thersa Statham of Hawkinsville, son: John Statham IV of Marietta, daughter: Laura Morrison of Gainesville, brother, Thomas Statham of Unadilla, sisters: Sandra Gregel of Woodstock, Marinell Paxton of Ellijay and Hedy English of Guyton. Grandchildren: Dillan Morrison, Landyn Morrison, Anna Statham, Edward Statham, and Emma Statham. Frazier and Son Funeral Home of Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
