John Lavon Sellers

Mr. Johh Lavon Sellers, age 72 of 477 Halfmoon Rd., Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at his residence.Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 in the Colbert Cemetery in Colbert, Ga. with Pastor Jim Haralson officiating. Mr. Sellers was born on Feb. 28, 1937 in Walker County, Alabama.He was son of the late Glen Travis Sellers and Margaret Elizabeth Head Sellers.He was a Deputy Warden in Clarke County and served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include:brother-Herbert Sellers of Warner Robins, sisters-Ellen Lambert of Warner Robins and Joan Culpepper of Lake Park and a niece-Elizabeth Hoffman of Warner Robins. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle was in charge of arrangements.
