John A. "Johnny" Dennard

John A. “ Johnny” Dennard, Sr., age 72, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday February 11, 2018 in King of Kings Christian Church. Reverend Johnny Ashe and Brother Ruel McKinney will officiate.Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 PM in the church. Interment will be in King of Kings Cemetery. Mr. Dennard was born June 19, 1945 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was son of the late James Franklin Dennard and Kathryn Bonnie Fitzgerald Dennard. He was employed by Copeland Farms, Rochelle, Georgia. Survivors include wife Ruth Dennard; son John A. (Tammy) Dennard, Jr.; daughters Lena (Ricky) Lazo, Mary Jane Dennard,Martha (Ollie) Morgan,Kimberly Lewis Dennard (Brittany Lee); brothers Henry Dennard, William Dennard, and Mitchell Dennard; sister, Jane Hitson; grandchildren: John Dennard III, Thomas Dennard, Nathaniel Dennard, Ricardo Lazo, Jr., Jonathan Lazo. Joseph Melvin, Michael Rostro, Esmeralda Dennard, Apuleyo Dennard, Rylan Owens, Guage Wilcox, Whitley Richey, and seven great-grandchildren. Music will be provided by Ruel McKinney and Henry Dennard.Pallbearers are Ricky Lazo, Jonathan Lazo, John Dennard, III, Thomas Dennard, Joseph Melvin, and George Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricardo Lazo, Jr., Apuleyo Dennard, Nathaniel Dennard, and Tilly Stephens. In lieu of flowers send donations to the family in care of Martha A.
