Joann Stokeberry Smith

Joann Stokesberry Smith, age 70, of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at her residence.She was a CNA with River Willows Nursing Center, and a Baptist by faith. Joann was born July 16, 1950, in Abbeville, to the late James and Christine Bruce Miller.She is survived by a son, Gene Stokesberry (Valerie) of Rochelle; a daughter, Angie Phillips (Terry) of Pitts; her sisters, Ouida Mitchell of Chipley, Fla., Barbara Craig of Summerville, S.C., Camille Schurlknight of Summerville, S.C., and Mary Park of Rochelle; her grandchildren, Amber Phillips (Clayton), Ethan Phillips (Lindsey), Shelby Phillips, Rylee Phillips, Macy Jim (Joel), and Faith Stokesberry; and her great-grandchildren, Clay Gunn, Gage Phillips and Jonathan Jim. A graveside service will held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 3:00 pm, at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joel Owens officiating.
