Jimmy Cranford

Jimmy Cranford, age 69 of Pineview, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at his residence.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 5th in the Pope City Baptist Church.Reverend David Clark and Reverend Danny Allen will officiate.Friends may visit with the family at the residence. Mr. Cranford was born on August 5, 1945 in Pineview, Ga.He was son of the late Henry Cranford and Ola Virginia Smith Cranford.He was a retired Ranger with the Wilcox County Unit of the Georgia Forestry Commission.He attended Pope City Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by 3-sisters- Mary Sue Clark, Ruby Jackson and Ruth Veal. Survivors include:wife-Peggy Cranford of Pineview, sons-Jimmy (Sherri) Cranford, Jr. of Warner Robins and Michael (Tonya) Cranford of Pineview, daughter-Tonya (Justin) Beck of Cochran, brother-Amos (Hilda) Cranford of Rochelle, sister-Frances Sheffield of Cordele and 9-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Pope City Baptist Church Building Fund, 2088 Gordon Rd., Rochelle, Ga. 31079. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
