Jim Henry Layfield

Jim Henry Layfield, age 50 of Pitts, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his residence.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 12, 2009 in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Reverend Ray Johnson will officiate. Mr. Layfield was born on August 19, 1959 in Turner County having lived the greater part of his life in Wilcox County.He was son of the late Oscar C. Layfield and Susie Belle Bohannon Layfield. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include:wife-Lela Layfield of Pitts, daughters-Carla Geeslin of Macon, Wendy Atkins of Cordele, Kimberly and Miranda Layfield both of Pitts, brothers-Duce Layfield of Tallahassee, Florida and Howard Layfield of Arabi, sisters-Norma Ruth Layfield of Pitts and Vernelle Timmons of Cordele, 3-grandsons and 1-granddaughter. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
