Jewel K. Turk, age 90 of 2112 Pineview-Pitts Hwy., Pineview, Ga. passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 125 Hudson Jones Rd., Cochran, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 23 in the Salem Baptist Purity Church in Salem, Florida.Brother Bobby Jo Hires and Brother L. B. Keene will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Salem Baptist Purity Church Cemetery. Mrs. Turk was born on April 3, 1920 in Americus, Ga.She was daughter of the late Virgil Calvin Kitchens and Jessie Lou Clark Kitchens.She was a retired seamstress from Wilcox Garment Co. and was a member of the Abbeville Baptist Purity Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Hoke Turk and son, R. H. Turk, Jr. Survivors include:daughter-Joyce (Laurie) Jones of Cochran, sister-Edna Bobo of Cordele, grandchildren-Wilda (Max) Long, Charlotte (Moni) Boling, Lena (Wayne) Weatherford, Justin (Karen) Turk Jones, Lynn (Andy) Cranford, Teresa Porter and Lisa Patton, great-grandchildren-Brian (Britany) Thomas, Desmond McDonald, Keela McDonald, Rodney and Rhett Watson, Claudia and Chelsea Boling, Megan W. Snyder, Ashton Weatherford, Justus and Carson Jones, Dylan and Alyssa Porter and Noah and Jonah Patton, 3-step-grandchildren and 6-step-great-grandchildren and 4-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, December 22 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
