Jesse Attaway

Jesse Attaway, age 89 of Pitts, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Taylor Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 26th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Bill Kent and Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Christian Home Cemetery. Mr. Attaway was born on June 5, 1923 in Rochelle.He was son of the late Walter Attaway and Nancy Mitchell Attaway.He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Pitts Baptist Church.He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include:wife-Grace Attaway of Pitts, brother-Lloyd Attaway of Elijay and a sister-Geneva Snowden of Okeechobee, Florida. Visitation will be Monday, March 25th from 6-8 PM in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rick Eberhardt, Danny Goss, Tim Conner, Clint Oliver, Clay Oliver, and Mike Guest. Prelude and postlude will be played by Alex Clements.Judy Smith will sing “Amazing Grace” and “Victory in Jesus”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
