Jarrett G. Morrison, age 59 of Rochelle, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.Reverend Joey Boney and Reverend Phillip West will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Morrison was born on August 19, 1955 in Hawkinsville, Ga.He was son of the late Jarrett Morrison and Romelle Holt Morrison.He was employed with the U. S. Postal Service as Postmaster in Rochelle for 31 years.He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.He was a member of the League of Postmasters, the National Association of Postmasters, the Rochelle Lions Club, the NRA, the National Association of Letter Carriers and the Wilcox County Farm Bureau. Survivors include:wife-Marilyn Morrison of Rochelle, son-J. D. Morrison of Rochelle, daughters-Christina (Carey) Harbuck of Americus and Jerrica (Richard) Oliver of Albuquerque, NM and one grandchild-Layton T. Morrison. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 12th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
