Jarrell W. Walker, age 70 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 23rd in the Siloam Baptist Church.Reverend Joey Boney and Reverend Tommy Baker will officiate.Visitation will be 2 hrs. before the service from 1-3 PM in the church.Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery. Mr. Walker was born on March 22, 1948 in Abbeville.He was son of the late Wendell Walker and Gertrude Wilson Walker.He was member and deacon of Siloam Baptist Church and a member of the Western Light Masonic Lodge #272.He was a Retired Superintendent with the Department of Corrections and was a cattle farmer.One of his greatest passions was coaching the Little League Baseball Team. Survivors include:wife-Carolyn Walker of Abbeville, sons-Clay (Keaton) Walker of Perry and Jay (Mary) Walker of Kathleen, daughter-Christy (Ricky) McGilvary of Eufaula, Alabama, sisters-Myrna Ann (Walter) Clayton of Eufaula, Alabama and Bonnie (Billy) Gilman of Sylvester and grandchildren-Eden Walker, Ally Walker, Ella Walker and Canaan Walker. The family will receive flowers or donations to be made to the Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Rd. NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30309-1465. Frazier and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
