Janie P. Anderson, age 90 of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, April, 19, 2020 in the Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn.A private graveside service will be held in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro.Reverend Craig Barnette will officiate. Mrs. Anderson was born on September 26, 1929 in Rochelle.She was daughter of the late Acie T. Pope and Cora Dell Pope.She was a retired Bank Teller with the Wilcox County State Bank and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Anderson, brothers, Tommy, Albert and Donald Pope and sisters, Mae Wertanen, Louise Rhodes, Mildred Christian and Mary Bloodworth. Survivors include:son-Dane Anderson (Betty Jean) of Rochelle, daughter-Gwen Chavez (Jesus) of Ellijay, brother-Bobby Pope (Brenda) of Rochelle, sisters-Ruby Hannah of Rochelle and Ola Nell Gibbs of Abbeville, grandchildren-Dedra (Shane) Jackson, Melanie Bloodworth, Melissa (Phillip) Crawford, Melinda (Judd) Rawlins, Andy (Nicole) Anderson and Landon Batts, 11-great-grandchildren and 4-great-great-grandchildren.
