James Thomas Lee

James Thomas Lee, age 92, of Rochelle, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Perry Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.Reverend Nelson Goddard will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Mr. Lee was born on September 10, 1924 in Rochelle.He was the son of the late Roscoe Ernest Lee and Emmie Leigh Williams Lee.Mr. Lee was a farmer and Owner/Operator of Lee’s Furniture and Appliance in Rochelle. He was a member of the Rochelle Lions Club, the Rochelle Masonic Lodge #190 F&M, the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71, and Wiregrass Technical College Board. He was an Emeritus Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle and a Past State President from the Fitzgerald Elks Lodge.Mr. Lee served his country with honor in the United States Army in World War II. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sue Lee and his daughters; Redith Lee of Warner Robins and Karen Lee of Atlanta. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Sunday, January 15th in the funeral home.
