James Hollingsworth

James Hollingsworth, age 59 of Abbeville, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30th in the Siloam Baptist Church.Reverend Tommy Baker will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. Mr. Hollingsworth was born on April 3, 1956 in Hawkinsville.He was son of the late Robert Hollingsworth.He was retired from Delphi and was a farmer.He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and was former Chairman of the Deacons.He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association, Young Farmer’s Association and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include:mother-Joyce Hunter of Abbeville, wife-Susan Hollingsworth of Abbeville, sons-Robert “Bubba” (Teresa) Hollingsworth of Abbeville and Jason (Dee Dee Stone) Hollingsworth of Fitzgerald, daughter-Jami (Brad) Martin of Rochelle, brothers-Lee (Faye) Hollingsworth of Abbeville and Alan (Lisa) Hunter of Abbeville, sister-Debra Braden of Abbeville, 7-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, January 29th in the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Siloam Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or the Gideons.
