James Allen Cook

James Allen Cook, age 80 of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 18th in the Cannonville Baptist Church.Reverend Mike Cook and Reverend Joel Owens will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Cannonville Cemetery with Military Rites. Mr. Cook was born on June 5, 1935 in Abbeville.He was son of the late James Isom Cook and Mary Emma Watson Cook.He was a Retired Assistant Police Chief with the Rochelle Police Department.He was a member of the Cannonville Baptist Church and served his country with honor in the United States Army. Survivors include:wife-Amanda Cook of Abbeville, sons-Mike (Marsha) Cook of Abbeville and Glen Cook of Abbeville, daughters-Teresa (Scott) Summers of Macon and Lisa Culpepper of Abbeville, sisters-Naomi Brown of Abbeville, Betty Brown of Abbeville, Donna Helms of Abbeville and Mary Alice Coombs of Eatonton, 7-grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM in the church. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
