James L. Bass, Jr., age 78 of Vienna, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 in the Emory/St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 in the Siloam Baptist Church.Visitation will be one hour before the service from 2-3 PM in the church.Reverend Tommy Baker and Reverend Joey Boney will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery. Mr. Bass was born on June 10, 1939 in McRae, Ga.He was son of the late Lamar Bass and Emma Elizabeth Bowen Bass.He was a member and deacon of Siloam Baptist Church and was a self-employed mechanic.He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. Survivors include:wife-Ellen Davis Bass of Vienna, sons-Billy Bass of Anchorage, Alaska and Danny Bass of Cordele, daughters-Angie Jacobs of Cordele and Gail (John) Good of Plano, Texas,step-daughters-Cindy McCall McAnally of Abbeville, Wendy (Michael) Cox of Richmond Hill, Kim (Russell) Morgan of Warner Robins and Jody (John) Roberts of Abbeville, sisters-Monteen (Willie Hugh) Ledford of Abbeville and Sara Smith of Abbeville, 15-grandchildren and 4-great-grandchildren. Glenn Fisher will play prelude and postlude.The congregation will sing “Sheltered in the Arms of God”.Two cd’s “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away” will be played. Pallbearers will be:Lanier Keene, Kyle Keene, Gary Howell, Tim Harris, Jake Keen and Charles Fisher. Frazier and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
