Jackie Phillips

Jackie Phillips age 74 of Pitts, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 3rd in the Union Baptist Church.Reverend Tommy Land will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Phillips was born on April 27, 1938 in Cordele.He was son of the late James Hoyt Phillips and Retta Walls Phillips.He was a former Mobile Home Inspector with Homestead Homes in Cordele.He was a member of Union Baptist Church, the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class and was a deacon.He served his country with honor in the United States Army. Survivors include:wife-Elizabeth D. Phillips of Pitts, sons-Dennis (Rose) Phillips of Hawkinsville, Rusty (Jennifer) Phillips of Pitts and Terry (Angie) Phillips of Pitts, brothers-J. E. Phillips of Dahlonega and Bobby Phillips of Knoxville, Tennessee,sister-Allene Conner of Pitts, 8-grandchildren-Jennifer (Richard) Thomas, Christopher Phillips, Amber (Bill) Baggett, Ethan Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Ben Phillips, James Phillips and Shelby Phillips, 1-great-grandchild-Jackson Thomas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, June 2nd in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
