Jack Lee Sheffield, age 71 of Rochelle, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his residence.Visitation will be Saturday, February 17th from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.Funeral and graveside services will be on Sunday, February 18th at Christian Hill Freewill Baptist Church at 3 PM.Reverend Joel Owens and Honorable Pastor Wayne Martin will officiate.The family can be reached at 1490 1st Avenue. Mr. Sheffield was born on January 4, 1947 in Wilcox County, Ga. He was the son of the late James Wilburn and Margaret Henry Sheffield.He was a retired mechanic with eastern Trucking Co. and loved fishing.He loved his family and loved to make you smile and laugh.He was of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Darlene Sheffield Smith, a brother, Billy Sheffield and a grandson, Austin Smith. Survivors include:his wife-Nancy Gordon Sheffield, son-Jack Lee Sheffield, Jr. 2 daughters-Tami (Greg) Sheffield Sutton and Karen Sheffield Smith, 8-grandchildren-Tiffany Smith Oliver, Alex Harpe, Ashley Harpe, Matthew Sutton, Devon Smith, Autumn Smith, Shane Justus, Brooke Smith; 2-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters-Patricia Pearson, Shirley (Billy) Persall, Frances (Charles) Adams, 1-brother-Charles Sheffield and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be:Alex Harpe, Ray Martin, Jr., Samuel Martin, Matthew Sutton, Samuel McKinney and Tim Worley MatthewMcMillan will play prelude and postlude.Cathy Mcmillan will sing “I’ll Fly Away” and Joel and Ann Wood will sing “Victory in Jesus”.
