J. E. Phillips age 79 of Richmond Hill passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Richmond Hill.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 9th in the New Hope Baptist Church in Crisp County.Dr. Dennis Phillips will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Phillips was born on May 7, 1937 in Cordele, Ga.He was son of the late James H. Phillips and Retta Walls Phillips.He was in maintenance with Best Western Motel in Cordele and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include:son-Dovon Phillips of Dahlonega, daughter-Dorethea (Mike) Peters of Richmond Hill, brother-Bobby Phillips of Knoxville, TN, sister-Allene Conner of Pitts, 5-grandchildren and 8-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday, May 8th in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will be:Rusty and Terry Phillips, Phil Conner, Jr., Josh Barfield, Chase Conner and Joe Barfield. Music will be provided by Elizah Phillips and Royce and Marcene Phillips. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
