Irving M. Butrica, age 83 of Fitzgerald, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 in the Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 27th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Dr. Lloyd Stembridge will officiate.Interment will be at 2:00 PM Thrusday, August 27th in the Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville with Military Rites. Mr. Butrica was born on December 2, 1931 in Highland Park, New Jersey.He was son of the late Andrew Butrica and Mary White Butrica.He was a self-employed floor covering and construction worker.He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Buras on September 21, 2010.He served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include;wife-Olive Butrica of Fitzgerald, daughters-Debra Fechner of Fitzgerald, Terri Sumner of Fitzgerald and Joy Buras of Shalimar, Florida, brothers-Larry Butrica of Ocala, Florida and Billy Butrica of Roseville, California, sisters-Helen Meeker of Waco, Texas, Vera Nitko of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, 8-grandchildren and 10-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 26th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
