Hollis Marvin Smith

Hollis Marvin Smith, age 85 of Rochelle, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 15 in the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.Reverend Wayne Martin and Reverend Jimmy McDuffie will officiate.Interment will be in the Christian Hill Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born n September 27, 1924 in Ocilla, Ga. He was son of the late Eddie T. Smith and Leila McDuffie Smith.He was a retired employee of Armor Mobile Homes and was a member of the Christian Hill Free Will Baptist Church.He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mathilda R. Villari Smith. Survivors include:sons-Kevin Smith of Rochelle and Hollis Smith, Jr., of Rochelle, daughters-Laura Smith of North Augusta, S. C. and Michele Aultman of Cochran, brothers-Jimmy Smith of Douglasville and Andy Smith of Pineview, sisters-EleaseMcKim of Beverly, Ohio and Betty Allen of Douglasville, 6-grandchildren and 5-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
