Herman J. "Jackie" Guest

Herman J. “Jackie” Guest, age 84, of Pitts, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.He was a retired civil service employee with Robins Air Force Base, a life-long farmer and carpenter, and a dedicated member of Pitts Baptist Church where he served faithfully in many capacities over the years.He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1955-1959, and he also retired from the City of Pitts with over 20 years of service. Jackie was born April 6, 1937, in Abbeville, Georgia, to the late Herman and Georgia Erwin Guest.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Libby, his brothers, and sister, and a great-grandchild. Survivors include his son, Mike Guest (Sandi) of Pitts; his daughter, Lisa Lane (Donnie) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Jonathan Guest (Jennifer), Katelyn Wiggins (Brian), Rik Lane (Kristen), Niki Griffin (Will); his great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, and Jackson Guest, Grady, Gabby and Abby Wiggins, Rhett and Jack Lane, Elly and Henry Griffin; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 15th, at 9:00 a.m. in Pine City Cemetery with Dr. Dennis Phillips and Bro. Hugh Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideons International. Frazier & Son Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
