Herman Gibbs, age 67 of Franklin, Ga., passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Piedmont Newman Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 21st in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Danny Allen will officiate.A eulogy will be given by Connie Darsey. Visitation will be one hour before the service at 2:00 PM in the chapel.Interment will be in the family plot in the Morningside Cemetery. Herman was born on April 18, 1948 in Abbeville, Ga.He was son of the late William Marion Gibbs and Lela Layfield Gibbs.He had lived in Franklin, Ga. for the past 2 years moving from Dudley, Ga.He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include:brother-Elmer Gibbs of Cochran, sisters-Betty Jean Spivey of Newnan, Eunice Barnes of Greenville, Tennessee, Patricia Head of Butler and Elizabeth Hayslip of Warwick. Pallbearers will be:Kevin Harpe, Jimmy Gibbs, Herman Greene, Jr., B. F. Hayslip, Chris Adams and Joey Dennard. Prelude and postlude will be played by Norma Jean Wilkerson.Darrell Tyson, Wanda Rowell and Donna Oliver will sing “Don’t Cry For Me”, “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain”. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
